After giving its three-row Ford Explorer a notable refresh for 2025 — including updated exterior styling and a significantly reworked cabin — Ford Motor Company saw sales tick up year over year. With that momentum heading into the new model year, the automaker is sweetening the deal for 2026 with a sizable cash incentive available nationwide through March 31.

For a limited time, customers who purchase a 2026 Explorer can qualify for a $3,500 rebate. The offer applies strictly to retail purchases; lease customers are not eligible. Buyers can use the incentive to reduce the vehicle’s purchase price or lower the total amount financed. As is typical with manufacturer cash offers, it generally cannot be stacked with other promotions.

What’s New for 2026?

Following last year’s refresh, most Explorer trims carry over unchanged for 2026. However, Ford is adding two new variants to the lineup.

A newly introduced base trim lowers the entry price by more than $1,000 compared to the 2025 model, making the three-row SUV more accessible to budget-conscious families. At the other end of the spectrum, the new Tremor model is designed for drivers who want to venture beyond the pavement. It features a lifted suspension, 31-inch all-terrain tires, a limited-slip rear differential, and protective skid plates aimed at improving off-road capability while maintaining everyday usability.
