The first teaser of the restyled version of the Ford Territory crossover has appeared on the Internet. Judging by the image, the “global” version of the crossover will differ from the model produced for the Chinese market. The official presentation is expected very soon.

Under the Territory brand, Ford sells a compact crossover in Latin America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, known in China as the Equator Sport. The main production is located in China, where the first restyling took place — the updated Ford Equator Sport was introduced in fall 2024. Now it's time for the global version of the Territory — its release has been announced in Argentina. It has become clear that the “global” version will receive its own set of updates.

The key difference lies in the radiator grille. If the Chinese Equator Sport grille is entirely in black, the Territory will feature elegant chrome accents. Like the Chinese model, the global crossover will have an updated front bumper and new headlights.

The exact dimensions of the restyled Territory have not yet been disclosed, but the pre-facelift version's length was 4630 mm, and the current Equator Sport is 4685 mm. Inside, there will likely be only slight improvements to the trim materials, similar to the Chinese update.

For Argentina, the crossover is expected to retain the previous 1.8-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 185 hp and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. In China, the Equator Sport is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine producing 170 hp. This engine will also be available for the Territory in some Asian markets.

In the future, the Argentine version of the Territory is expected to receive a plug-in hybrid, appearing in China post-facelift based on the 1.5T. All versions will have front-wheel drive only.

The presentation of the updated Ford Territory in Argentina is scheduled for June. After that, the model should appear in other countries.
