In Cold Countries, Tesla Will Heat the Steering Wheel Without Driver's Intervention

Tesla has updated the steering wheel heating system in its electric cars

Tesla once again proves that driver comfort is one of its priorities. In the latest software update (2024.14), developers have improved the operation of the heated steering wheel, which will particularly please owners living in regions with harsh winters.

How does the heating work now?

Previously, the automatic steering wheel heating was activated only with the climate control auto mode. Now, if the driver sets the wheel heating to Auto, the system will turn on independently, oriented by the cabin temperature, even with manual heating or air conditioning settings.

The innovation applies to all five current Tesla models. Steering wheel heating is a must-have function for winter operation, just as cooled seats are for summer heat.

A few words from the Auto30 editorial team - Tesla continues to finely tune its cars, making them highly adaptable to any weather conditions. It's not just a «software update», but another step towards personalized driving comfort.
