Polestar has announced the development of a new electric sedan, the Polestar 7. It will be the brand's first car produced in Europe and is intended to replace the Polestar 2.
The Swedish brand Polestar, known as a subsidiary of Volvo, is preparing to launch a new sporty electric sedan — the Polestar 7. This model will be the first manufactured directly in Europe and will replace the popular Polestar 2 in the market. According to the company's CEO Michael Loscheller, special attention is being paid to maintaining Polestar's signature «DNA» — memorable design, sharp handling, and sporty suspension in the development of the new sedan.
The Polestar 7 will be built on a platform from either the Geely or Volvo groups but will receive exclusive settings and a unique appearance that will noticeably differ from previous models. Unlike the minimalist style typical of the Polestar 2, the new sedan will feature a bolder, more energetic, and dynamic design, reflecting the sporty spirit of the electric vehicle. This move, according to the company, will lay the foundation for a new visual philosophy for all future brand models.
With the launch of the Polestar 7, the manufacturer aims to strengthen its position in the premium electric car segment and attract a younger audience interested in powerful, technologically advanced, and stylish vehicles. Thanks to the declared characteristics and modern solutions, the Polestar 7 could become a leader among electric sedans for young drivers. The exact production location will be announced in the coming weeks, but it is already known that the company is focusing on European facilities to ensure high build quality.
