The new global SUV modification is equipped with an upgraded twin-turbo V6 engine, with output increased to 495 hp. The «hot» Patrol goes on sale in the Middle East in July 2025.

The current seventh-generation Nissan Patrol and its twin – the third-generation Nissan Armada – debuted in early fall 2024. Recall, these SUVs are simplified versions of the opulent current Infiniti QX80, which was unveiled in March of the same year. Now both full-size Nissan SUVs have received a «charged» version with the Nismo suffix added to their name.

The global premiere of the Nissan Patrol Nismo took place at a special event in the Middle East, with the Japanese company calling this SUV «the most powerful in Patrol's history». The Patrol Nismo / Armada Nismo received modernized equipment, retuned suspension, optimized aerodynamics, design changes compared to standard versions, and special décor.

There are practically no differences in appearance for versions aimed at different markets. The SUVs boast a massive radiator grille visually integrated with the air intake at the lower part of the front bumper. This element features a pattern in the form of a 3D mesh with large cells, complemented by brand logos and a version nameplate, as well as red stripes along the sides. Additionally, the splitter in this color sits above the fog lamps.

Red accents are visible even on the outer mirror housings, rear roof pillars, side skirts, as well as in the diffuser at the bottom of the rear bumper (the design differs slightly between the «hot» Patrol and Armada). Brake calipers in this bright color are also visible through the 22-inch forged aluminum wheels. Furthermore, the «charged» Nissan SUVs received a larger spoiler on top of the tailgate.

Inside, there are no differences between the Nissan Patrol Nismo and the Armada Nismo. The SUV interiors are finished in a black-red color scheme with natural leather and suede, and include multiple bright accents: on the dashboard, center console, and three-spoke steering wheel (referring not only to stitching but also to the zero position marker). The seat belts, too, are in this color; the cars also feature aluminum pedal covers and Nismo emblems embroidered on the headrests.

The Japanese brand SUVs feature electronic shock absorbers tuned by the Nismo division (Nissan Motorsports), an electronic steering system developed specifically for these models, and a modernized exhaust system that provides a deeper engine sound (a cabin active sound enhancement system is provided).

The Nissan Patrol Nismo and Armada Nismo are equipped with the same engine as the standard SUV's lineup – a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 VR35DDTT engine. For the «charged» versions, its power output has been increased – to 495 hp for the Patrol (70 hp more than the regular version) and to 466 hp for the Armada (35 hp more). The maximum torque remains unchanged – 700 Nm, with the engine mated to a revised nine-speed automatic transmission.

The Nissan Patrol Nismo will be available in the Middle East in July 2025, while the Armada Nismo will reach US dealers this coming fall. Prices for the «charged» SUVs will be announced later.
