The novelty will only be officially unveiled in August. Xpeng P7 2026 caught the attention of car enthusiasts on the roads of China.
A production model of the new generation Xpeng P7, one of the flagship vehicles of the brand's electric segment, has been spotted on the roads of China. Judging by the photos, the 2026 model year sedan is completely devoid of camouflage, which means the premiere is very close. According to information from Chinese sources, the official presentation of the novelty is scheduled for August.
The updated P7 is set to replace the current P7+ version, which is currently available in the Chinese market. The new sedan not only features a redesigned exterior but has also undergone significant technical updates. In the top configuration, the vehicle will be equipped with a dual-motor setup producing 586 hp — a similar output as the Tesla Model S Dual Motor Long Range.
Visually, the sedan will become closer to a four-door coupe format. Its dimensions are already known: length — 5017 mm, width — 1970 mm, height — 1427 mm, and a curb weight of 2090 kg. For comparison: these are almost the same proportions as the Porsche Taycan, with which the Xpeng P7 actively competes in the domestic segment.
As before, the novelty will be available in several technical versions. The base version will come with a rear-axle electric motor producing 363 hp. The lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery will serve as the energy source, providing a range of about 702 km on the CLTC cycle. The maximum speed of this modification is 230 km/h.
For those who value range, Xpeng will offer a version with the same motor but with an increased capacity battery. In this case, you can travel up to 820 km without recharging — one of the best figures in the class. Finally, the flagship all-wheel-drive version with two motors and a total output of 586 hp will offer up to 750 km on a single charge.
Interestingly, despite a more restrained exterior style, the novelty will retain the original "winged" butterfly doors, which have been the model's signature feature since its debut in 2020. However, they will likely only appear in higher trims.
Xpeng is actively accelerating its development pace, and the launch of the next-generation P7 confirms the company's ambitions in the "premium-electric" segment. According to preliminary data, the first deliveries will begin at the end of 2025, shortly after the premiere.
