Japanese people value minimalism and are not afraid of compact spaces, especially for living. Therefore, it is not surprising that more and more small cars from local automakers become the basis for small mobile homes, called campers.

Recently, the Japanese company "Rocky2" unveiled a new motorhome based on the popular Honda StepWGN MV minivan.

The seven-seater car, designed for family trips, has been transformed into a compact studio apartment with certain outdoor conveniences.

For reference: Honda Stepwgn MV is the name of the version of the Honda Stepwgn minivan designed for camping and leisure. It differs from the standard model with special equipment and installations for comfortable stays in the car during travels.

The car comes with wooden shelves and foldable poufs, which can be raised to the same height level as the folded backrests of the rear seats, forming a spacious free area for two people to rest, measuring 2100 by 1250 mm.

Comfort inside is ensured by an optional air conditioner that can operate even with the engine turned off via a sub-battery. Its outdoor unit is located on the roof.

Additionally, folding tables and chairs are available for comfortable outdoor stays and, if needed, dining inside the car.

The cost of the motorhome based on the Honda StepWGN MV has already been revealed. In Japan, the car will be priced starting at 4 million 620 thousand yen (approximately $31,500).
