American musician and legendary KISS frontman Gene Simmons was involved in a car accident on October 7 after losing consciousness behind the wheel and crashing into a parked vehicle.

According to reports, Simmons was driving his Lincoln Navigator in Malibu, California, when he suddenly blacked out. His wife, Shannon Tweed, said the singer veered into the opposite lane, crossed several lanes of traffic, and hit a parked car.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. Simmons was hospitalized briefly but has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

Tweed suggested her husband may have passed out due to dehydration, noting that he “doesn’t like drinking water” and had recently started taking new medication.

After returning home, Simmons addressed the incident on X (formerly Twitter), writing:

“Thanks, everybody, for the kind wishes. I’m completely fine. I had a slight fender bender. It happens. Especially to those of us were horrible drivers. And that’s me. All is well.”

The incident occurred just a month before the KISS reunion concert in Las Vegas, marking the band’s 50th anniversary.
