Ford Finds a New Captain for Europe: Major Changes Ahead at Full Power

Ford has appointed a new president to lead its European division.

Ford Motor Company has announced the appointment of Jim Baumbick as President of Ford of Europe. He will officially assume the role on November 1, 2025. The position had remained vacant since 2023.

Baumbick previously served as Vice President for Product Development, Planning, and Program Management. In his new role, he will shape the strategic direction of Ford’s European operations, including the development of models tailored to local customer preferences.

Baumbick will report directly to John Lawler, Ford’s Vice Chair. According to the company, the appointment reflects Ford’s commitment to strengthening its position in Europe and accelerating the rollout of innovative technologies across its next-generation lineup.
