One package leans sporty, the other is built with off-road flair in mind.
After making its debut in North America, Europe, and China, the refreshed Toyota RAV4 has finally reached its home market in Japan. To mark the local launch, Toyota teamed up with its in-house tuning partner Modellista to introduce two exclusive styling packages. The goal is simple: give the hybrid crossover a sharper, more athletic look—or a tougher, trail-ready attitude—depending on the owner’s taste.
In Japan, the RAV4 is offered exclusively as a conventional self-charging hybrid in Z and Adventure trims. Power comes from a 2.5-liter engine-based hybrid system producing 237 horsepower, paired with Toyota’s E-Four all-wheel-drive setup. Toyota has already confirmed that a plug-in hybrid and a GR Sport version will join the lineup before the end of the 2026 fiscal year. Until then, buyers can personalize their vehicles with these factory-backed styling kits.
The Lifestyle Package is designed for the Z trim and focuses on a sportier appearance. It includes a Modellista aerodynamic body kit with a front splitter, additional LED lighting, side skirts, rear bumper accents, and 20-inch alloy wheels. In Japan, the package is priced at ¥586,760, which works out to roughly $3,800.
For drivers who spend more time off the beaten path, Modellista offers the Outdoor Package for the Adventure trim. This kit features rugged, aluminum-look protective cladding, wider fender extensions, a hood deflector, and a revised grille with integrated LED auxiliary lights. The look is completed by 18-inch wheels finished in Matte Olive. The Outdoor Package costs ¥508,310, or about $3,300.
As for the vehicle itself, the Toyota RAV4 starts at around ¥4.5 million in Japan, equivalent to approximately $29,000.
