The 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X costs more than before, but brings a major boost in power
For the 2026 model year, Chevrolet has significantly raised the starting price of the Corvette ZR1X. The base coupe now begins at $209,595, nearly $5,000 more than before. Part of that increase comes from higher destination charges, which alone add an extra $500 to the sticker price.
The convertible version has also become more expensive, with prices starting at $219,595. On top of that, buyers of the ZR1X are required to pay a mandatory gas guzzler tax of $2,600.
The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X blends the DNA of two iconic models from the brand’s lineup: the brutal ZR1 supercar and the electrified Corvette E-Ray. It pairs a front-mounted electric motor with a high-output gasoline engine, creating a hybrid setup that delivers a combined output of roughly 1,250 horsepower.
Performance figures are nothing short of extraordinary. The ZR1X can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in under two seconds and cover the quarter-mile in less than nine seconds. With numbers like these, the new Corvette is capable of outpacing some of the most respected high-end performance cars on the market, including the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the Ford Mustang GTD.
