Jeep is continuing its monthly Wrangler special-edition rollout under the “Twelve 4 Twelve” program.
Jeep is pressing ahead with its monthly Wrangler special-edition campaign known as “Twelve 4 Twelve.” After the high-powered Commando 392 and the more style-focused Whitecap, the brand has now unveiled its third release: the Wrangler 85th Anniversary Edition, created to celebrate Jeep’s 85th birthday. Notably, this is the most affordable special-edition Wrangler in the lineup, priced just $710 more than the standard Wrangler Sport S.
This time around, the concept behind the package is straightforward—paying tribute to Jeep’s long and storied history. As Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf pointed out, for more than eight decades Jeep vehicles have been built with one core mission in mind: to be functional and dependable. The 85th Anniversary Edition reflects those same values, wrapped in a modern package with a healthy dose of nostalgia.
For the additional $710, buyers get a surprisingly rich set of visual and functional upgrades. On the outside, the Wrangler features special Blue Agave–colored badges and decals, body-color splash guards, 17-inch wheels finished in Steel Oxide, and distinctive bronze tow hooks. The real standout, though, is inside the cabin.
Jeep leaned heavily into retro flair, fitting the interior with a white, black, and yellow plaid pattern. The design appears on the seats, which carry dedicated 85th Anniversary badging, as well as on trim inserts across the dashboard. Unique touches continue with a medallion on the gear selector, a commemorative plate on the cupholder area, and durable Berber floor mats. Despite the throwback styling, the Wrangler doesn’t skimp on modern comforts.
Standard equipment includes heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, keyless entry, remote start, a premium Alpine audio system, Gorilla Glass windshield, and full LED lighting for the headlights and fog lights. Safety tech includes adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning. Power comes from the familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, rated at 289 horsepower and about 260 lb-ft of torque.
Pricing for the Jeep Wrangler 85th Anniversary Edition starts at around $46,000. Interestingly, the same anniversary treatment on the Gladiator pickup undercuts it slightly, starting at roughly $45,800. Optional extras include a black hardtop and more aggressive off-road tires.
The “Twelve 4 Twelve” program is still gaining momentum, and with growing interest in limited-run trims, Jeep appears poised to keep the special editions coming—with more creative twists likely on the way.
