Ford Motor Company has filed three new trademark applications in Russia, including the brand logo, the Motorcraft auto parts designation, and the Mustang emblem, according to multiple Russian media reports citing the country’s patent office.

The documents were reportedly submitted on January 6, 2025, under the name “Ford Motor Company.” The applications cover several Nice Classification categories, including automobiles, vehicle parts, and services related to repair, transportation, and financing.

Some reports note that in late 2025, the company also filed additional trademark applications in Russia for “Ford” and «Форд». Prior to this, Ford had not submitted trademark applications in the country since 2013.

It is important to note that filing a trademark application does not automatically signal a return to the Russian market and may be solely intended to protect intellectual property rights.
