Jeep brings an adventure-themed special edition Wrangler to life with heavy-duty factory Mopar upgrades.
Jeep has rolled out a new limited-run Wrangler that leans heavily into the spirit of classic adventure films, echoing the vibe of Indiana Jones-style exploration—just updated for today’s off-road world. The special model, called the Wrangler Rubicon Trail Hunt Edition, was unveiled in South Korea and comes fully equipped with a factory-backed Mopar package. Only 20 units will be produced, making it extremely rare from the start.
The build is based on the Wrangler Rubicon Hardtop, but it has been transformed into a more extreme expedition-ready machine. Engineers added a 2-inch (51 mm) suspension lift along with beadlock wheels, allowing drivers to air down tires significantly without risking them coming off the rim on rocks or sand.
A full roof-mounted expedition rack has been installed, along with a side ladder for easier access to gear. Small but practical upgrades also play a big role here. A redesigned front air deflector helps reduce mud buildup on the windshield, while reinforced wiper blades with laser-cut perforations improve cleaning performance in harsh conditions.
Under the hood, the Trail Hunt Edition keeps the familiar 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine found in the standard Rubicon. It produces about 272 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Off-road capability is handled by the Rock-Trac HD 4x4 system with a 4:1 low-range gear ratio, effectively multiplying torque at the wheels and allowing the SUV to crawl over rocks at near-idle speeds. An Off-Road Plus mode further adjusts throttle response and traction settings for sand, gravel, and other challenging surfaces.
One important detail is warranty coverage. Typically, aftermarket lifts and wheel modifications can void factory warranty, but in this case the Mopar upgrade package is officially approved. That means owners still receive full dealer support and servicing without complications.
Pricing in South Korea is set at around ₩95.7 million (about $70,000 USD), which is roughly ₩8.8 million more than a standard Rubicon. However, if purchased separately, the Mopar package alone would cost about ₩13.25 million, making the factory-built Trail Hunt Edition a relatively better deal.
Still, exclusivity is the real headline here. With only 20 units planned and availability limited to the South Korean market, the Wrangler Rubicon Trail Hunt Edition is expected to become a quick collector’s item rather than a mainstream offering.
