A custom matte silver finish gives the electric Cadillac Escalade IQL a striking presence that breaks away from the usual blackout styling.

For years, the most intimidating Cadillac Escalade builds on American roads all followed the same formula: black paint, blackout tint, oversized wheels, and an unmistakably aggressive attitude. It became the go-to look for celebrities, executives, and anyone chasing maximum street presence.

Now there’s a different take on luxury excess.

Texas-based custom shop DESIGNBYTWM has reimagined the all-electric Cadillac Escalade IQL with a matte silver-white aluminum wrap that completely changes the SUV’s personality. Cadillac already offers several upscale factory paint options for the Escalade IQ lineup, but none come in a matte finish — and judging by this build, that may have been a missed opportunity.

Not everyone will love it. Some buyers will undoubtedly see the satin silver treatment as flashy or overdone. But for drivers who would normally spec an all-black Escalade with giant wheels, this alternative delivers the same visual drama while standing out from the crowd.

The custom Giovanna wheels, finished in matching matte silver, tie the entire build together. Dark window tint and smoked taillights add contrast and keep some of the Escalade’s signature menace intact. It’s the kind of SUV that instantly grabs attention, whether parked or rolling through traffic.

The Escalade IQL itself is already massive. The stretched electric SUV is noticeably longer than the standard Escalade IQ and about 1.5 inches longer than the gas-powered Escalade ESV. For buyers who want maximum interior space while staying loyal to an American luxury brand, it sits near the top of the segment.

Under the bodywork is a huge 205-kWh battery pack, and curb weight pushes past 8,800 pounds. Despite the heft, dual electric motors produce 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque, giving the SUV surprisingly strong acceleration for something this large.

DESIGNBYTWM hasn’t revealed pricing for the modifications, but nothing about this project suggests affordability. The Escalade IQL itself starts at $133,800 before options, making this one very expensive — and very hard to ignore — electric SUV. At the very least, it proves luxury Escalades don’t always have to be black.
