Palomino RV’s Puma Vista 420LFT blends lofted sleeping, residential comforts, and space for the whole family.
When family vacations start feeling cramped because there is barely enough room to walk around, handle everyday chores, or just relax, it may be time to consider a destination trailer. These RVs trade frequent travel for more living space, comfort, and amenities that make them feel much more like home.
Palomino RV has made destination trailers a specialty. As the name suggests, these RVs are designed to be driven to a destination, set up, and left there while you enjoy the extra room and features. They can make excellent vacation homes, but they can also serve as full-time residences where local regulations, climate, and lifestyle make that practical.
A few years ago, Forest River-owned Palomino RV expanded into lofted destination trailers, which have since become a dedicated series within the Puma Vista lineup. The Puma Vista 420LFT is one of the newer models, originally introduced in late 2024 for the 2025 model year.
Now entering its 2027 model year, the 420LFT is being previewed ahead of its physical debut at major fall RV events, including the Hershey RV Show. Matt from Matt’s RV Reviews recently got a chance to tour one of the trailers, with the full walkthrough available below. The photos in the gallery show the 2026 model, making it possible to see what has changed.
There are no significant changes to the overall floor plan. The 420LFT remains a massive three-slide trailer with two lofts that is essentially a tiny house wearing an RV disguise. Its exterior looks more like a small home than a conventional travel trailer, with wood framing and corrugated aluminum siding mounted on a tandem-axle chassis with dropped-frame sections at both ends.
In practical terms, this is a tiny house. The trailer comes with residential-style appliances, Furrion equipment throughout for the 2027 model year, and enough room to comfortably accommodate a large family. The main limitation is the single bathroom, which means there can still be some waiting when everyone needs it at once.
The Puma Vista 420LFT measures 42.10 feet (12.8 meters) long and 8 feet (2.4 meters) wide. Its gross vehicle weight rating is a substantial 14,825 pounds (6,724 kg), while its unloaded weight comes in at 13,024 pounds (5,907 kg). Since the 420LFT is intended to spend most of its life parked rather than traveling, its considerable weight isn't much of a concern once it reaches its destination.
The floor plan places the master bedroom at the front and a spacious bathroom at the rear, with a large loft positioned above each. Between them is an intentionally open living area containing a full-size kitchen, freestanding dinette, and living room with an entertainment center.
The primary entrance sits beside the kitchen, while a second set of double sliding doors opens directly into the living area. Add a deck outside, and the setup becomes particularly well suited to outdoor entertaining.
The kitchen centers around a large island with an accessory-packed sink that looks tailor-made for TikTok. It includes features such as a vegetable waterfall, cup rinser, soap dispenser, and integrated drying racks. There is plenty of cabinet storage and counter space for preparing meals, while solid-surface countertops are used throughout the trailer.
Cooking equipment includes a four-burner Furrion gas range with a large oven and exhaust hood, a Furrion convection microwave, and a 12-volt Furrion refrigerator with two freezer drawers. More counter space is available elsewhere in the kitchen, including a nook that can become a dedicated coffee station. There is also additional cabinetry and a full pantry.
Across from the kitchen sits the freestanding dinette, which provides four seats and a table with an adjustable length. The dinette shares a slide-out with the entertainment center, which includes a smart TV, audio system, and large fireplace. Storage hasn't been overlooked here either, with additional shelving installed behind the television.
The living room faces the entertainment center and offers an L-shaped sectional with built-in storage along with two reclining theater seats. The sectional does not turn into a bed, but that is hardly a deal-breaker when the trailer already has a king-size bed and two large lofts.
The bathroom features a tri-glide glass shower, a large vanity with a modern sink, a foot-flush plastic toilet, and plenty of storage. There is also a dedicated closet prepared for a stackable washer and dryer. For 2027, the bathroom receives some styling updates, including a more contemporary countertop and more polished finishes, although the overall design remains largely unchanged.
At the front, the bedroom comes standard with a king-size bed, full wardrobe, dresser with multiple drawers, TV prep, and additional storage along the front wall and beneath the bed. The generous amount of storage and floor space makes the intended use pretty clear: the 420LFT is designed for extended stays rather than quick weekend trips. This isn't simply a trailer that takes you to the destination. It is the destination.
Among the highlights for 2027 are night roller shades, powered shades for the clerestory-style living-room windows, and three air-conditioning units. One AC unit is dedicated to each loft, which makes sense considering each sleeping area can accommodate at least two adults or up to three children. The lofts also receive their own storage and TV backing.
Standard equipment includes two 30-pound (13.6-kg) propane tanks mounted in a hard-cover box on the tongue, manual stabilizers, a manual tongue jack, an on-demand water heater, a furnace, and manual awning controls. Water capacity includes 43 gallons (163 liters) of fresh water, 70 gallons (265 liters) of gray water, and 35 gallons (132 liters) of black-water capacity.
The 2027 Puma Vista 420LFT has an MSRP just under $95,000. The example featured below is already available and is listed at $69,995, including the washer and dryer installed in the bathroom.
