Ram Marks America’s 250th Anniversary With Limited-Edition 1500 Pickup

Stellantis has become the official automotive partner of the America250 organization, which is coordinating the celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary. As part of the festivities, the automaker plans to release several limited-edition versions of its vehicles. In the coming days, a special edition of the Dodge Durango crossover will debut at the New York Auto Show, while Ram has already revealed three commemorative versions of the Ram 1500 pickup.

The special models are based on the Big Horn, Laramie, and Rebel trims and feature styling inspired by the colors of the American flag.

The Ram 1500 Big Horn America250 stands out with a body-color grille surround and blacked-out exterior details, including the badges, bumpers, mirror caps, wheel-arch extensions, and 20-inch wheels. Matte-black American flag graphics appear on the hood and along the sides. The truck also gets a protective bed coating and special-edition badges on the front doors.

Inside, the seats are trimmed in blue fabric with red and white contrast stitching. The seatbacks feature Velcro patches designed for attaching name tags and flag patches similar to those used on military uniforms. Other touches include red seat belts, a black special-edition emblem on the glove box, unique startup graphics for the digital instrument cluster, door-sill plates reading “America Made Us,” and a leather key fob.

The truck retains all standard equipment from the Big Horn Level 2 Equipment Group package. That includes heated front seats and steering wheel, a nine-speaker audio system, and a 12-inch touchscreen running the Uconnect 5 infotainment system.

The Ram 1500 Laramie and Rebel America250 models largely follow the same patriotic design theme but feature a few trim-specific differences. The Laramie version gets a gloss-black grille and larger 22-inch wheels.

The off-road-oriented Rebel America250 comes with a matte-black grille, 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, and a powder-coated front bumper with integrated tow hooks. It also features gloss-black fender flares and a matching rear bumper.

Inside those versions, buyers will find black leather seats with blue inserts visible through the perforation, along with red, white, and blue contrast stitching. Otherwise, the interior layout mirrors the Big Horn version, though the special-edition badge uses satin-finish trim instead of black chrome.

Under the hood, the Ram 1500 Big Horn America250 will be offered with three engine options: a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 producing 309 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 rated at 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque that recently returned to the lineup, and the twin-turbo Hurricane inline-six generating 426 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The Hurricane engine joined the Ram 1500 lineup during the truck’s update in fall 2023.

Buyers of the Laramie and Rebel America250 trims will be able to choose between the V8 HEMI and the Hurricane inline-six.

Production of the commemorative trucks will be limited, though Ram has not yet revealed the exact numbers. Orders are already open. The Ram 1500 Big Horn America250 starts at $61,415, while the Laramie America250 begins at $70,365. The Rebel America250 carries a starting price of $72,830.
