Modellista Gives Lexus' Most Affordable Crossover a Sportier Look

The Lexus LBX gets a new Modellista styling package with 19-inch wheels, revised suspension tuning, and additional upgrades.

Modellista Gives Lexus' Most Affordable Crossover a Sportier Look

Modellista, Toyota Group's tuning brand, has introduced a new customization package for the Lexus LBX, the luxury brand's most affordable crossover. The model has also received an update that goes beyond styling, bringing revised suspension tuning, additional body reinforcement, and an expanded range of electronic driver-assistance features.

The Lexus LBX debuted in 2023 as the smallest crossover in the brand's lineup. It was designed as an entry point into the Lexus range, offering a more compact alternative to the brand's larger SUVs.

Lexus recently updated the LBX, improving body rigidity and revising the suspension and electric power steering settings. The changes are intended to improve ride comfort, stability, and steering precision.

The updated crossover also gains additional safety and convenience features, while the exterior color palette now includes a new SOU shade.

For buyers who want something more distinctive than the standard design, Modellista offers its own exterior styling package. At the front, the kit adds a spoiler with a matte silver finish and additional decorative accents. Side skirts emphasize the crossover's sportier profile, while the rear bumper receives a more aggressive look with matte silver trim pieces.

Chrome accents have also been added behind the LED headlights and to the center section of the tailgate. The exterior upgrades don't stop there.

Modellista has given the wheels special attention, offering customers in Japan a set of 19-inch alloy wheels with a dark chrome finish. The larger wheels significantly change the LBX's appearance and complement the added aerodynamic body kit.

The tuner has left the crossover's powertrain unchanged. The LBX retains its factory hybrid system, which combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an e-CVT transmission. The system produces a combined output of 136 horsepower.

In Japan, Modellista has priced the new Lexus LBX styling package at 303,600 yen, or approximately $2,000. The separate set of 19-inch alloy wheels costs another 418,000 yen, equivalent to around $2,800. Both prices are approximate conversions to U.S. dollars.
