Jeep is leaning even further into nostalgia. Following the release of the Wrangler in Whitecap trim, the automaker has now introduced a matching version of its midsize pickup, the Jeep Gladiator. The Whitecap edition becomes the second entry in the brand’s Convoy series — a themed lineup designed to echo Jeep’s storied past.

The standout feature is its classic two-tone appearance. A bright white finish highlights the hardtop roof and the grille surround, creating a sharp contrast against the body color. White racing stripes stretch across the exterior, complemented by a prominent “1941” badge — a nod to the year the Jeep name first appeared. Rubicon, Rubicon X, and Mojave trims also receive a Bright White hood decal to complete the vintage-inspired look.

Under the hood sits the proven 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. This naturally aspirated engine produces 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Jeep’s 4x4 system. The setup allows the Gladiator to tow up to 7,700 pounds when properly equipped, making it more than just a style statement.

The Whitecap package will be available on Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, Mojave, and Mojave X trims. Pricing varies depending on configuration. For Sahara, Rubicon X, and Mojave X models, the retro package adds $495. Rubicon and Mojave buyers, however, will pay closer to $3,000, as those versions also require body-color fender flares and the Freedom Top hardtop roof as part of the bundle.

The Gladiator Whitecap is expected to arrive at U.S. dealerships this spring, with production limited to a special run. Buyers can choose from eight exterior colors — including, somewhat ironically, bright white. A white roof on a white truck may not be for everyone, but for fans of classic Jeep styling, that’s part of the charm.
