Jeep’s updated Avenger debuts in Brazil with new styling and local production planned soon.
After being teased just a few days ago, showing part of its redesigned front end and illuminated grille, the 2027 Jeep Avenger has finally made its full debut in Brazil.
Jeep’s local division recently released several official images along with some early details, and at first glance, it still looks familiar. But this is the facelifted version we’re looking at, and it has been updated to visually align more closely with the larger Compass.
Compared to the previous model, which entered production a little more than three years ago, the 2027 Jeep Avenger gets a completely new grille that still keeps Jeep’s signature seven-slot design. This time, the upper section is illuminated, giving it a much more modern look. The headlights also feature revised graphics, while the front bumper has been redesigned with a larger central air intake and newly styled fog lamps on both sides.
The rest of the exterior remains a bit harder to pin down because most of it appears largely unchanged. Around back, the bumper seems to carry over, including the side reflectors and the faux skid plate, which matches a similar trim piece up front. That said, the taillights do appear to have updated graphics. Even the wheels seem to stay the same.
Inside, the current Jeep Avenger features a large tablet-style infotainment screen mounted above the central air vents on a layered dashboard design. It also comes with a digital instrument cluster, a three-spoke steering wheel, physical shortcut buttons, and a fairly clean center console layout.
And what about the cabin of the 2027 model? Right now, Jeep isn’t saying much. The company has chosen to keep the interior under wraps for the moment. Still, prototype vehicles have already been spotted with covered-up cabins, which strongly suggests that some notable updates are coming inside as wel.
Another major detail Jeep hasn’t confirmed yet is the powertrain lineup. As many already know, the current Avenger is sold in Europe with a fully electric setup, a hybrid version, and a small gasoline engine.
There’s a good chance the facelifted model will receive some updates in that department too, although Jeep hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet. For now, we’ll have to wait for more details from the automaker before knowing exactly what’s under the hood.
More information on the refreshed Jeep Avenger is expected later this year, which is also when production will begin in Brazil at the Porto Real plant.
As a reminder, the model shares its platform with several other compact Stellantis vehicles, including the Peugeot 208 and 2008, Opel Mokka and Corsa, Fiat 600, Alfa Romeo Junior, and DS 3 Crossback.
For the Brazilian market, the updated Avenger is expected to play an important role as Jeep continues expanding its smaller crossover lineup across South America, where demand for compact SUVs remans especially strong.
