General Motors and its factory-backed Cadillac team have officially broken into Formula 1 this season—despite early resistance from the championship’s leadership. To mark the milestone (and generate some well-timed buzz), Cadillac has unveiled a special edition of its super sedan that raises the bar even higher.

Called the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series, the new model becomes the most powerful entry in the Blackwing lineup. Its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 has been upgraded with a revised blower developed by GM Motorsports engineers. Output climbs from 677 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque to 695 horsepower and 672 lb-ft. The engine also gets a decorative cover featuring an F1 logo.

Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission from Tremec. Unlike the standard CT5-V Blackwing, there’s no automatic option here. To keep all that performance in check, the car comes equipped with the Precision Package, a track-focused setup that includes carbon-ceramic brakes, high-grip summer tires from Michelin, and a suspension system tuned specifically for circuit driving.

The F1 Collector Series is offered strictly in black, paired with matching black wheels. Even the brake hardware is finished in gray to maintain the monochrome look. With Cadillac now closely aligned with Formula 1, the exterior is covered in logos from the series as well as the FIA.

Inside, the theme continues. F1 and FIA branding appears throughout the cabin, including a medallion on the gear shifter and carbon trim accents. The door sills feature the name and logo of Cadillac’s Formula 1 team. The interior itself is wrapped in black leather with contrasting silver stitching, while the integrated front headrests carry embroidered F1 logos.

Production will be extremely limited, with just 26 units planned. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but considering the standard CT5-V Blackwing starts at around $99,000, this exclusive edition is expected to come at a significant premium.
