Porsche’s Sonderwunsch division created three one-off 911 models inspired by Toy Story characters for the film’s world premiere.
The red carpet at the world premiere of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 featured more than celebrities. To celebrate the release of the latest installment in the beloved franchise, Porsche unveiled three unique 911s: a GT3 RS inspired by Buzz Lightyear, a 911 Targa 4 GTS themed after Jessie, and a 911 Carrera T paying tribute to Woody.
Toy Story 5 hit theaters on June 19, 2026, but the cars themselves have yet to be shown to the public in full. For now, they served as stars of the premiere event, with all three destined for charity auctions at a later date.
Each vehicle was built by Porsche’s Sonderwunsch department, the company’s in-house customization studio responsible for some of its most exclusive creations. The collaboration between Porsche and Pixar is nothing new. In 2022, the two companies created the one-off Porsche 911 Sally Special inspired by the character from Cars. That car was sold at auction, with proceeds benefiting charitable causes. The new project follows the same philosophy, with three organizations set to receive support from the sale of the latest cars.
Porsche designers worked closely with Pixar artists to create more than just themed liveries. Exterior colors, interior details, and bespoke design elements were developed as a unified concept for each character.
Buzz Lightyear first appeared in the original Toy Story in 1995 as a toy space ranger convinced he was a real intergalactic hero. His white suit with green and purple accents, retractable wings, wrist laser, and signature phrase, “To infinity and beyond,” helped make him one of animation’s most recognizable characters.
For the automotive version of Buzz, Porsche selected the 992.1-generation 911 GT3 RS, arguably the most track-focused road-going 911 in the lineup. The choice makes perfect sense for a character associated with flight. The car features active aerodynamics, extensive carbon-fiber construction, and a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six producing 525 horsepower. Porsche quotes a 0-62 mph time of 3.2 seconds.
The one-off GT3 RS is equipped with the Weissach Package, which reduces weight through the use of additional carbon-fiber components. Its white exterior mirrors Buzz’s spacesuit, while Green Yellow and Lizard Green accents appear across the hood, bumpers, roof, fenders, lower doors, and rear wing. The lower section of the massive rear wing combines white and Fire Red, recreating the appearance of Buzz’s deployable wings.
Exclusive white magnesium wheels feature center caps with the Space Ranger logo designed by Buzz Lightyear creator Bob Pauley. Even the Goodyear tires are unique. Each sidewall carries the word “Lightyear” in a custom typeface integrated into the wheel design. Porsche says the tires contain hidden Toy Story Easter eggs, though the company is keeping those details secret.
Inside, Pebble Grey leather and Arctic Grey Race-Tex upholstery dominate the cabin, while purple Violeta leather on the upper seatbacks references Buzz’s suit. Green accents continue throughout the interior, including the seatbelts and stitching. The dashboard features a one-of-one plaque and an original illustration of Buzz by Bob Pauley. Illuminated carbon-fiber door sills display the famous phrase, “To Infinity and Beyond.”
Jessie, the energetic cowgirl introduced in Toy Story 2 in 1999, became one of the franchise’s most beloved characters thanks to her emotional story and unmistakable style.
While Buzz received the most extreme 911, Jessie got arguably the most elegant. The 911 Targa 4 GTS produces 532 horsepower and uses the Targa body style’s signature stainless-steel roll bar as a centerpiece for the design.
A new paint finish called Jessie White Metallic was developed specifically for the project. The pearl effect reflects the buttons on Jessie’s plaid shirt. Cobalt Blue accents, Atacama Yellow panels, and GTS Red pinstripes echo the character’s outfit. Even the traditional “Targa” script on the roll bar has been replaced with “Jessie” in Porsche lettering.
The handcrafted cabin combines Dark Night Blue, Bordeaux Red, and Pebble Grey leather. The center sections of the seats and door panels feature a custom denim-inspired fabric designed to mimic Jessie’s jeans. The floor mats are finished with a black-and-white cowhide pattern, while illuminated door sills greet occupants with a fitting message: “YEE HAW!”
As the central figure of the Toy Story saga, Woody has evolved over five feature films spanning more than three decades. The cowboy sheriff remains loyal, dependable, and timeless, making him an ideal match for the enthusiast-focused 911 Carrera T.
Unlike the other two cars, the Carrera T emphasizes simplicity and driver engagement with its manual transmission, reduced weight, and sport suspension.
Its exterior is perhaps the most technically complex of the trio. Porsche developed a special paint process that recreates the appearance of faded denim. Dark Sea Blue is blended with Golf Blue and white to give the body a naturally worn look. According to the designers, even the texture of denim is incorporated into the paint itself rather than applied through graphics or film.
Coffee Black accents appear on the front bumper and side skirts, while the spoiler lip is finished in Aurum. Fire Red graphics with the name “Woody” decorate the lower doors.
Inside, the Carrera T shares the custom denim-style upholstery with the Jessie-themed Targa, creating a subtle connection between the two characters and their friendship. Special wheels designed exclusively for the project help distinguish the car from any production 911.
All three one-off Porsches will be auctioned off, with proceeds supporting charitable organizations. Beneficiaries include Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the Starlight Children’s Foundation, which helps children undergoing long-term medical treatment, and the American Red Cross.
