Nissan has updated the Armada for the U.S. with few meaningful changes, but the SUV now costs significantly more while keeping its previous equipment.
The updated 2027 Nissan Armada now starts at $75,790. Its predecessor cost $5,300 less. The Japanese automaker has not explained the sharp price increase. Notably, other Nissan models have recently become less expensive.
Under the hood, the Japanese SUV continues with the same 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged engine, producing up to 425 hp. In the Nismo version, output rises to 460 hp. It is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The Japanese model comes standard with four-wheel drive and a two-speed transfer case. When low range is engaged, torque is multiplied by 2.6, improving off-road capability on particularly difficult terrain. The Pro-4X adds all-terrain tires and an electronically controlled rear differential. This version also gets adaptive suspension that adjusts ground clearance. The transmission also supports up to eight automatic drive modes.
The SUV continues to offer seven or eight seats with leather upholstery and power adjustment. The base version includes 18-inch wheels, a power liftgate with memory, three-zone climate control, heated front seats and steering wheel, two 12.3-inch displays, and a six-speaker audio system. The base safety package includes intelligent cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking.
As the price climbs across the lineup, the Japanese model adds a surround-view camera system with a "transparent" hood function that displays an image of the area beneath the vehicle on the center screen. The standard audio system is replaced with a higher-quality setup with 12 speakers. The two center displays grow to 14.3 inches. The Nismo version adds a sport-tuned suspension, retuned steering, upgraded brakes, and a new aerodynamic body kit.
Nissan has also added a new Dark Armor trim with the base equipment package. It costs an additional $1,900. This version adds only black exterior and interior finishes, darkened exterior trim, including the grille and window surrounds, and other blacked-out details. The Armada Dark Armor also gets new 20-inch wheels.
