Every model is different, yet together they represent Chrysler’s entire 2007 lineup in one unusual collection.
Ryan Maruka, a 25-year-old Chrysler enthusiast from Pennsylvania, has assembled what may be one of the most unusual Chrysler collections anywhere. It consists of just seven vehicles, but every one is a 2007 model painted the same color. At the same time, each vehicle is different, collectively representing Chrysler’s lineup for that model year.
Maruka is fascinated by the period when Chrysler was part of the German-American DaimlerChrysler era. That interest led him to seek out seven 2007 models: the Chrysler 300C, Aspen, Crossfire, Pacifica, PT Cruiser, Sebring and Town & Country. What really makes the collection stand out is that every vehicle is finished in Marine Blue.
The obsession started with a different Crossfire, one painted white. After becoming a fan of the sports car, Maruka bought a low-mileage Crossfire SRT-6, which became the first vehicle in his collection. He later added a Pacifica as a more practical vehicle for winter driving. By coincidence, it was also painted Marine Blue, setting the direction for his search for the other cars.
Next came a Chrysler 300C with the top-of-the-line Hemi V8, a turbocharged PT Cruiser convertible, an SRT-4-powered PT Cruiser with a manual transmission, and a Sebring in a rarely seen top trim level. The hardest model to find was the Aspen, which was produced for only a couple of years and shared much of its hardware with the Dodge Durango.
The Town & Country has the highest mileage in Maruka’s collection, with about 186,000 miles on the odometer. At the other end of the spectrum is the Crossfire SRT-6, which has just 23,900 miles. The remaining vehicles have between roughly 79,500 and 129,000 miles. All seven cars are reportedly in very good condition.
Maruka also owns a Honda Accord, a Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG and a Dodge Magnum. He plans to replace the Magnum’s front end with parts from a Chrysler 300, turning it into a replica of the wagon sold in the European market.
If he completes the project, the Magnum could rightfully become the eighth vehicle in the collection, since it is also finished in Marine Blue.
