Changan is preparing to launch a revamped version of the Uni-V liftback, officially designating it as a third-generation model. Formally, this is the second restyling of the Uni-V, initially introduced in 2021. The previous update took place in 2024, which the manufacturer classified as the second generation.

The published images show that the design of the five-door car has changed significantly. The front end has a new look: the traditional frameless grille has been replaced by a smooth decorative panel, and the bumper has been redesigned.

While retaining the overall shape of the headlights, designers changed their internal LED structure and removed the LED strip that previously connected the optics. A new bumper appeared at the rear, and round pipes were installed instead of the previous rectangular ones. In addition, the door handles have become standard — the retractable mechanism has been eliminated.

For buyers, a "sporty" version with an aggressive aerodynamic kit, twin exhaust pipes, and an active spoiler will also be available. The liftback's dimensions are 4740 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2750 mm. This is slightly more compared to the pre-facelift model, which was 4720 mm long.

The car's interior has been almost completely redesigned. New features include a front panel, modified door cards, an updated central tunnel, and a new gear selector. The digital dashboard is now free of the characteristic "hump" and positioned closer to the driver to improve readability. The multimedia system screen has also increased in size, and its interface has been updated.

Tech-wise, the Uni-V will be offered with two gasoline turbo engines: these are four-cylinder units with a capacity of 1.5 and 2.0 liters, producing 192 and 245 horsepower respectively. According to preliminary information, the base version will be equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch robotic transmission, while the top modification will receive a classic eight-speed "automatic".

Additionally, a hybrid version is available in the current Uni-V range in the Chinese market, and the updated petrol-electric variant may be presented separately later.

The public premiere of the new Changan Uni-V is expected to take place in China soon.
