Nearly 116,000 Ford Super Duty pickups are being recalled over a steering column shaft defect.
Ford has launched another major recall — this time affecting its Super Duty pickup lineup. The company says a defect could potentially cause drivers to lose steering control.
In total, 115,539 Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty trucks from the 2020 and 2021 model years are being recalled. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the steering column shaft may separate, which could result in a sudden loss of steering.
The issue was first identified on June 26, 2025, though no crashes or injuries linked to the defect have been reported so far.
Owners of affected vehicles will receive mailed notices instructing them to visit a Ford dealership. Technicians will inspect the steering column shaft and reinforce or replace parts as necessary.
