This Toyota Hilux GR Sport–based camper is designed to comfortably accommodate four people overnight.
Japanese company Direct Cars has proven that the Toyota Hilux GR Sport can be turned into a fully functional home on wheels. Their project, called the BR75 SUV Adventure Camper, is not just a living module—it’s a true off-road motorhome built for self-sufficient travel far from civilization.
Instead of a standard pickup bed, the Hilux has been fitted with a spacious, aerodynamic camper shell. The BR75 can seat up to five passengers and provides sleeping space for two adults and two children.
The interior impresses with its cozy, home-like comfort: wood-paneled finishes, a stylish tiled floor, and thoughtfully arranged lighting. One of its standout features is a full-fledged air conditioning system, with the external unit neatly installed under the rear bumper.
The kitchen area, equipped with a folding table, easily converts into a 2.3-meter (7.5 ft) double bed. Another 1.66-meter (5.4 ft) bunk above the cab offers space for children. Thanks to the camper’s extendable roof section, the ceiling height increases, filling the interior with natural light.
At the rear, there’s a compact shower cabin with a waterproof floor and sink. It can be accessed from both inside and outside—making it perfect for washing up or stowing muddy gear after a day on the trails.
The BR75 is built for total independence on the road. Power comes from a 200 Ah battery that can be recharged via a solar panel, while the water system includes three tanks: an 85-liter main tank, a 20-liter drinking water tank, and a 45-liter waste tank.
Direct Cars also came up with a clever extra: the removed Hilux bed can be converted into a cargo trailer.
The BR75 SUV Adventure Camper is offered in two configurations. The base version, built on the Toyota Hilux Z, starts at around $84,000, while the top-tier Hilux GR Sport–based model is priced at $95,000.
