The popularity of so-called “time capsules,” or cars that have been preserved in garages for many decades, keeps rising on the internet every year. Strong viewer interest in such discoveries is pushing bloggers to explore this topic more and more often.

Recently, two remarkable “time capsules” were discovered in the United States. And these were no ordinary cars—they turned out to be incredibly valuable performance machines.

According to the story, a widow in Minnesota never once entered the family garage after her husband’s death, nearly forgetting what was inside.

Nearly 30 years later, she finally decided to open the doors of the barn and was stunned to find not just one, but several Ferrari 308 GTBs in exceptional condition.

The story was shared by bloggers from the WD Detailing channel, to whom the cars were sent for restoration work.

The first sports car is a 1977 Ferrari 308 GTB, notable for its distinctive gold-colored wheels. The second, even rarer example—a 1976 model—was produced in a run of just 800 units and belongs to the sought-after Vetroresina (fiberglass-bodied) version.

After the cars underwent a thorough wash and professional detailing, they were revealed to their current owner. Judging by the video posted on YouTube, she was unable to hold back her tears.

What the future holds for these two Ferraris remains unclear, but for now, this garage-found “treasure” is valued at roughly $250,000 to $300,000 per car.
