The most reliable modern Lexus model, according to the study, is the third-generation Lexus IS sedan. Analysts estimate that this vehicle has a 27.5% chance of exceeding 250,000 miles without major mechanical problems—about 5.7 times higher than the average for modern vehicles.

The third-generation Lexus IS has been in production since 2013. In the luxury sport sedan segment, it competes directly with models such as the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, and Alfa Romeo Giulia.
