Lexus vehicles have long earned a reputation as premium cars that rarely break down. Some models are known to rack up hundreds of thousands of miles with no major mechanical issues along the way.

According to SlashGear, citing a study by iSeeCars, four Lexus models stand out as the most reliable in the brand’s lineup. Experts say these vehicles are capable of driving more than 250,000 miles without serious failures.

The most reliable modern Lexus model, according to the study, is the third-generation Lexus IS sedan. Analysts estimate that this vehicle has a 27.5% chance of exceeding 250,000 miles without major mechanical problems—about 5.7 times higher than the average for modern vehicles.

The third-generation Lexus IS has been in production since 2013. In the luxury sport sedan segment, it competes directly with models such as the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, and Alfa Romeo Giulia.
