China’s SAIC Motor and Germany’s Audi have unveiled the production version of a new crossover from their China-only joint brand, AUDI. The model, called the E7X, was recently spotted during low-temperature testing.

The vehicle shown in photos appears to be the range-topping trim. It rides on 22-inch wheels and features camera-based side mirrors instead of traditional units, a roof-mounted lidar sensor, and an additional camera integrated into the B-pillar to support advanced driver-assistance systems. Other highlights include an active air intake in the front bumper and several high-tech exterior details.

The E7X comes with an illuminated logo, distinctive LED headlights, and flush door handles. Its dimensions measure 198.8 inches long, 78.6 inches wide, and 67.3 inches tall (5,049/1,997/1,710 mm), with a wheelbase of 120.5 inches (3,060 mm). Buyers will be able to choose between 21- and 22-inch wheels.

The base rear-wheel-drive version is powered by a single electric motor producing 402 horsepower. The all-wheel-drive variant delivers a combined output of 670 horsepower. Top speed is rated at 143 mph (230 km/h). Two battery options will be available—100 kWh and 109.3 kWh—offering a claimed driving range between 395 and 467 miles (635 to 751 km), depending on configuration. Additional technical details are expected to be released soon.

It’s worth noting that last year, the joint AUDI brand introduced its first model in China, the AUDI E5 Sportback wagon. The model reportedly underperformed in the Chinese market, with approximately 6,650 units delivered in 2025.
