Giti Launches in the U.S. Market

Tires will be manufactured at the company's South Carolina plant, with a lineup covering passenger, light truck, all-season, and winter models.

Giti Launches in the U.S. Market

Giti Tire USA is officially launching the Giti brand in the U.S. market. The company is focusing on local manufacturing, a broad lineup of tires for passenger cars and light trucks, and dealer support.

All new Giti tires for the U.S. market will be manufactured at the company's plant in Richburg, South Carolina. The facility spans about 1,500 acres, with 1.8 million square feet of manufacturing space. For Giti, local production is becoming one of its key selling points when working with U.S. dealers.

At launch, the lineup includes several models. The Giti Comfort XA1 is positioned as a touring tire for everyday driving, comfort, and long tread life. It will be available in 43 sizes for wheels ranging from 17 to 20 inches. The WeatherSmart is an all-weather tire designed for changing seasonal conditions and will also be offered in 43 sizes from 17 to 20 inches.

For light trucks and SUVs, Giti has developed the GitiXcursion AT and GitiXcursion XT. The first is an all-terrain tire that will be offered in 39 sizes from 15 to 22 inches. The second is designed for more aggressive off-road use and falls into the rugged-terrain category, with 30 sizes available from 16 to 22 inches.

Giti is also introducing the WinterSmart winter tire. Its purpose is clear: the brand aims to meet demand not only for mainstream summer and all-season tires but also for seasonal winter tires in the northern regions of the United States.

The company says the Giti brand launch in the U.S. is part of its long-term growth strategy. According to Giti Tire USA Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing Michael Markoff, the brand offers dealers more than just another name on the shelf—it provides access to products developed for the U.S. market, manufactured in the United States, and supported by programs such as GitiGuardian.

Giti has maintained a presence in North America for many years. According to the company, its group brands have been sold in the United States for more than 20 years, with a retail network of more than 6,500 locations in the U.S. and more than 740 in Canada. Globally, Giti operates in more than 130 countries.

For the U.S. tire market, this launch is notable not only because of the new product lineup. Giti is entering the United States not as another imported brand, but as a manufacturer with a local production base, its own dealer support program, and a lineup covering several key market segments.
