Florida's Ford Mustang Named America's Best-Looking Police Cruiser
More than 360,000 people voted in the American Association of State Troopers' annual nationwide contest.
The Florida Highway Patrol's Ford Mustang has been named the winner of the American Association of State Troopers (AAST) 13th annual Best Looking Cruiser Contest, beating entries from Michigan and Georgia.
The AAST announced the results after more than 360,000 people cast votes from across the United States.
For much of the competition, Michigan held the lead. However, a late push by the Florida Highway Patrol's public affairs team helped rally enough support to secure the victory. Florida finished with 52,249 votes, comfortably ahead of Michigan's 37,654 votes. Georgia claimed third place with 34,933 votes.
A photo of the winning Florida Highway Patrol Ford Mustang will appear on the cover of the official AAST Foundation wall calendar, which is published annually in support of the American Association of State Troopers Foundation.
