Chrysler Recalls Nearly 202,000 Jeep SUVs Over Tire Pressure Monitoring Software Error

Chrysler is recalling nearly 201,976 Jeep vehicles after a software error compromised the tire pressure monitoring system.

Chrysler is recalling 201,976 vehicles because a software problem may prevent the tire pressure monitoring system from detecting low tire pressure or illuminating the warning light when it should.

The recall affects certain 2024-2025 Jeep Wagoneer models, along with the 2024-2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE and Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Also included are certain 2025 Jeep Wagoneer L and 2025-2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L models, as well as the 2026 Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Grand Wagoneer L PHEV.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the issue means the affected vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 138, which covers tire pressure monitoring systems.

Dealers will update the radio frequency hub software at no cost to vehicle owners.

Chrysler is expected to begin mailing owner notification letters on Sept. 29, 2026.
