TAG Dynamics has unveiled a new armored cash-in-transit vehicle based on the Ford F-550, designed specifically for armored transport companies and financial institutions.

The truck features three separate compartments for valuables, has seating for four security personnel and is built to withstand gunfire under some of the industry's highest ballistic protection standards.

According to TAG Dynamics, the vehicle starts with an extremely rugged commercial chassis that engineers have transformed into what is essentially a mobile fortress.

“We keep people safe when it matters most,” the company says. “Customers aren't getting just another heavy armored truck, but a practical tool designed for secure daily operations.”

Under the hood, the massive cash-in-transit truck is powered by a 6.7-liter V8 paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The Standard Protection Package Goes a Long Way

TAG Dynamics has armored the doors from top to bottom with specialized protective panels. The battery, engine control module and fuel tank are also protected behind armor.

If the standard protection package isn't enough for a particular mission, the company offers an extensive list of additional equipment.

Available upgrades include upgraded brakes and tires, fire-suppression systems, headlight protection and specially designed firing ports.

The company says its approach allows customers to combine the F-550's substantial payload capability with an armor configuration tailored to the specific mission.

For financial institutions and security companies moving large amounts of cash, the result is a heavy-duty workhorse that puts ballistic protection on top of the F-550's already rugged commercial platform.
