The company Dongfeng Nissan has unveiled its new electric sedan N7, which promises to be an excellent choice for those seeking a blend of affordability and modern technology. The vehicle is offered in five configurations, with prices ranging from $16.5 to 20.7 thousand. The N7 is built on the new Tianyan architecture and is positioned in China as a comfortable mid-size electric sedan for family trips.
The exterior of the N7 stands out with its closed-off front, split headlights with a horizontal LED strip, and original L-shaped lighting elements. Design features include frameless doors and hidden door handles. The car's dimensions are 4930×1895×1487 mm, with a wheelbase of 2915 mm. Depending on preferences, buyers can choose from two options of 19-inch wheels.
Inside, the N7 offers a 15.6-inch screen with 2.5K resolution, which controls the media system based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor and the Nissan OS operating system with DeepSeek artificial intelligence. The vehicle also includes AI Zero-Pressure seats with 49 sensors, 19 cushions, and 12 massage points. For passenger convenience, there is a 5.8-liter fridge with heating and cooling functions.
An important innovation is the system that reduces the risk of motion sickness, along with a "motion sickness free comfort" certificate from the China Automotive Center. The high-autonomy autopilot, developed by Momenta, works on both highways and in the city.
As for technical specifications, the N7 is equipped with an electric motor with a power of 160 or 200 kW (218 or 272 hp), and a lithium iron phosphate battery allows for a range of 510 to 635 km on a single charge according to the CLTC method. Fast charging (from 30 to 80%) takes just 14 minutes.
The model can also supply power to external devices, providing an output of up to 6.6 kW. Nissan N7 aims to compete with major players like BYD and Xpeng (specifically, the BYD Han and Xpeng P7+ models), but whether it will succeed remains an open question.
