A New Era of Sporty Liftbacks: A Little-Known Chinese Brand Stuns the Public with a Debut

The car stands out with an aggressive aerodynamic body kit, spoiler, sporty wheels, and a contrasting body finish with racing stripes. The cabin follows the spirit of modern sports cars: seats with pronounced side bolsters, red accents, and a large multimedia display. The driver-focused interface offers extensive customization options, including sport modes with real-time performance visualization.

According to preliminary information, the αS5 will be equipped with a dual-motor powertrain delivering around 400–450 kW, enabling acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in about three seconds. The top speed is expected to range between 220 and 240 km/h, while the driving range will vary from 550 to 650 kilometers (CLTC cycle), depending on the version. The battery capacity could reach up to 100 kWh, making the model competitive in the electric sports car class.

Thus, the Arcfox αS5 enters the market as BAIC’s first truly high-performance electric sports car, positioned to compete with the Tesla Model 3 Performance and BYD Seal in their top trims. Combining cutting-edge design, sporty dynamics, and advanced technology, it marks a completely new image-building chapter for the brand.
