The current-generation Ford Ranger debuted globally in 2022 and reached the U.S. market in 2024. However, the next refresh isn’t expected until 2027, when it will launch as a 2028 model-year truck. According to media reports, the update will be a mid-cycle refresh, bringing changes to both exterior and interior styling as well as upgraded features.

One of the most anticipated additions is a hybrid powertrain. Ford has pledged to offer hybrid options across its entire Blue lineup by 2030, and the Ranger is part of that plan. The automaker may also introduce new trims—such as the Tremor package—already available in other markets but not yet offered stateside.

It’s also confirmed that both the Ranger and the F-150 will drop the SYNC 4 infotainment system in favor of Ford Digital Experience, the brand’s latest interface already rolled out on the Explorer, Lincoln Nautilus, and Navigator.
