According to reports, during a flight on October 11, the helicopter suddenly lost control and went down, becoming wedged between several palm trees near the coastline. The crash led to a temporary closure of a major Sacramento highway.

Authorities confirmed that the helicopter was connected to the Cars ’N Copters on the Coast event, which had been scheduled for October 12.
