The 2026 Jeep Grand Wagoneer represents a true evolution for the iconic American SUV. Now proudly wearing the Jeep badge on its hood, the luxury off-roader also comes with a significantly lower starting price — nearly $20,000 less than before.

At the same time, the regular Wagoneer version has been dropped from the lineup, leaving only the more upscale Grand Wagoneer, which now debuts with an all-new range-extended hybrid powertrain.

Visually, the SUV has also undergone a noticeable transformation. The front end takes cues from the electric Wagoneer S, featuring a taller, more expressive grille and a full-width LED light bar connecting the headlights and fog lamps. A larger lower air intake improves cooling efficiency, while at the rear, new taillights are joined together by a single illuminated strip.

Under the hood of the standard model lies a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six Hurricane engine producing 420 horsepower and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque. But the real headline is the new hybrid version with extended range.

This setup pairs a 92-kWh battery pack with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 gasoline generator that doesn’t drive the wheels directly. Instead, the electric motors deliver a combined output of 647 horsepower and 840 Nm (620 lb-ft) of torque, launching the Grand Wagoneer from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in around five seconds. The claimed total driving range exceeds 500 miles (roughly 800 kilometers).

Jeep has also simplified the lineup, now offering just three trims — Grand Wagoneer, Limited, and Summit — along with the extended-wheelbase L version.

Overall, the new Grand Wagoneer isn’t just more affordable; it’s smarter and more advanced. Jeep is clearly doubling down on electrification, aiming to blend traditional SUV power and presence with the range and efficiency of next-generation technology.
