The new Leapmotor D19 crossover has made its debut.
The Leapmotor D19, a large all-electric family crossover, has been officially revealed. The new model offers up to 724 horsepower and a driving range of 720 kilometers (about 447 miles). It will launch in China in the first half of 2026 before expanding to European markets.
Leapmotor, partly owned by Stellantis, already sells electric vehicles in Europe. Representatives from Stellantis’ Ukrainian division have also announced plans to bring the brand to that market in the future.
The D19 is a six-seat family SUV featuring Leapmotor’s signature smooth, minimalist design with sleek LED headlights and taillights. The crossover measures 5.2 meters (17.1 feet) in length, 2 meters (6.6 feet) in width, and rides on a 3.1-meter (10.2-foot) wheelbase.
While the interior hasn’t been fully shown yet, several key details have been confirmed. The first two rows of seats will feature power adjustment, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Equipment will also include a refrigerator, a head-up display, semi-autonomous driving technology, and an air-purification system.
The top-spec version of the Leapmotor D19 will use three electric motors with a combined output of 724 hp, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3 seconds. A 115-kWh battery delivers up to 720 km (447 miles) of range, and the 1,000-volt architecture supports ultra-fast charging to 50% in only 15 minutes.
A second variant will feature two motors producing 536 hp and a range-extending gasoline generator. This model will come with an 80.3-kWh battery, providing 500 km (311 miles) of electric-only range and a 0–100 km/h time of 5 seconds.
Both versions will also be equipped with adaptive dampers and air suspension, ensuring a comfortable and composed ride.
