Ford Motor is recalling 79,781 vehicles in the United States that may experience detachment of interior panels near the front doors and rear light failures, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The recall affects more than 14,000 F-150 Lightning BEV pickup trucks due to faulty rear lights and over 64,000 Ford Flex vehicles because of a door panel defect.

In addition, the company is recalling about 34,481 remanufactured 10R80 automatic transmissions that were used as replacement parts for repairs on certain Ford and Lincoln models, the NHTSA added.

On Thursday, the automaker also recalled 227,006 vehicles over issues such as air bubbles in windshields and unsecured seat frames, and on Wednesday, another 175,000 vehicles due to roof wind deflectors that could detach from Expedition and Navigator SUVs and F-Series pickups — bringing the total number of recalls this week close to half a million.
