Used hybrid vehicles don’t always enjoy the best reputation when it comes to long-term reliability. Still, some models manage to break that stereotype.

Auto technicians have pointed to one used hybrid sedan that stands out for its durability. According to experts, this car is capable of covering hundreds of thousands of miles without major mechanical issues.

Their top recommendation is the Lexus ES 300h. The model is based on the Toyota Avalon sedan but offers a higher level of comfort along with a range of additional refinements.

Lexus as a brand is known for its strong reliability record, and many of its vehicles consistently score high in dependability rankings, the experts noted.

They also highlighted the Lexus ES 300h’s impressive fuel efficiency. Another major advantage for owners is relatively low maintenance and repair costs compared with many competitors.

The Lexus ES 300h is powered by a hybrid system that pairs a 2.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor, producing a combined 218 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the wheels through a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
