The test involved an updated version of the Xiaomi SU7, which is set to go on sale in China in April. According to the company, the vehicle uses a high-performance battery charging system derived from the SU7 Ultra, allowing it to recharge enough energy for 670 kilometers (about 416 miles) of driving in just 15 minutes.

Beyond fast charging, the electric sedan has received more powerful motors and an extended driving range across all trim levels. The longest-range version of the SU7 can travel up to 902 kilometers (around 560 miles) on a single charge.

During the 24-hour endurance test, the updated Xiaomi SU7 stopped only to recharge. The company also noted that the electric car reached speeds of up to 240 km/h (about 149 mph) during the run. Xiaomi described the total distance covered in 24 hours as a record, highlighting that it surpassed the Xpeng P7, which managed 3,961 kilometers (2,461 miles) in a similar test last year.
