Toyota has officially hinted at the arrival of a new model, sharing a cryptic teaser image across its social media channels.

While the company has released very little concrete information, the silhouette strongly suggests a full-size SUV that could play a key role in Toyota’s broader decarbonization strategy.

The teaser reveals the vehicle’s rear end, marked by a striking design. Most notable is a full-width LED light bar stretching across the tailgate and wrapping smoothly into the side panels. Beyond the modern lighting, the image shows chunky roof rails, shark-fin antennas, and pronounced, squared-off fender flares. The overall look is rugged and purposeful, drawing clear parallels to the iconic Land Cruiser family.

Industry watchers, including analysts from Motor1, believe the vehicle could be one of two previously announced three-row electric SUVs. Toyota has already confirmed plans to build those models at its Kentucky plant in the United States. Despite Toyota’s already broad lineup of high-riding vehicles, the brand still lacks a direct electric rival to models such as the Kia EV9.

For now, Toyota’s official comment is limited to a single line: “Something new is on the horizon.” Even as the future of EV demand remains a topic of debate in some markets, Toyota continues to push forward with plans to launch new battery-electric models. The upcoming SUV is expected to offer a spacious three-row, seven-seat interior along with advanced driver-assistance technology, strengthening Toyota’s position in the premium family SUV segment.

Technical specifications, driving range, and an exact reveal date have not yet been disclosed. Still, the growing teaser campaign suggests the full debut is likely to happen in the near future.
