Useful Upgrade for Shop Technicians: Updated Touchbrain Plus OBD Monitor Now Supports Select Nissan and Mitsubishi Models

The manufacturer has released the latest version of the Touch-B.R.A.I.N.+ (Touchbrain Plus) OBD monitor with expanded vehicle compatibility.

The manufacturer has updated the Touch-B.R.A.I.N.+ (Touchbrain Plus) OBD monitor and released it in its latest version. The device carries a suggested retail price of $500.

The most significant change involves vehicle communication. The new firmware adds support for the NISSAN CAN1 communication system, allowing the monitor to finally work with several models that previously could not be connected. Newly supported vehicles include the Nissan E13 Note and Aura, C28 Serena, T33 X-Trail, BA/BB Rooks, as well as the Mitsubishi Delica Mini.

The update also brings practical improvements to the data displayed. After installing the new firmware, users can now view engine temperature and high-voltage battery temperature directly on the screen—parameters that were not available in the previous version.

All units shipped by the manufacturer after 2:30 p.m. now come preloaded with the latest software. Customers who purchased the monitor earlier can download the update for free after registering on the developer’s website. The firmware can be installed independently using a USB flash drive. For users who prefer not to perform the update themselves, a paid update service is also available.

Touchbrain Plus itself is a multifunction information monitor that operates simply by plugging into the vehicle’s OBD-II port. It features a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen and can automatically record lap times with GPS support. Built-in Wi-Fi enables wireless connection to a smartphone, and through a proprietary app, users can create videos that combine smartphone camera footage with OBD data logs and then upload the finished clips directly to social media.
