McLaren isn’t known for subtle celebrations—and this time is no exception. Following its 10th Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship, McLaren Racing inspired a special version of the Artura Spider. This isn’t just a decal package or cosmetic upgrade, but a true limited edition, with only 10 cars produced for customers worldwide.

The full name is the Artura Spider MCL39 Championship Edition—long enough to say during a pit stop. At its core, it’s based on McLaren’s entry-level open-top supercar, but the point of this edition goes far beyond the standard model. The car honors the season in which McLaren Racing claimed both the Constructors’ title and the Drivers’ Championship.

Development was handled by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), which means no shortcuts. The livery is applied by hand and mirrors the look of the championship-winning MCL39 F1 car from the 2025 season, combining McLaren’s signature orange with deep onyx black. Subtle “Easter eggs” are hidden throughout the exterior—details meant for fans who enjoy studying the car as much as race results.

Key exterior highlights include:

Inside, the contrast theme continues. The cabin is dominated by dark materials, offset with precise pops of color. The headrests feature an embroidered “10” in McLaren Orange, while the steering wheel gets a matching orange 12 o’clock marker—a classic motorsport touch. Trim is finished in carbon black Alcantara and Nappa leather.

The most striking interior detail may be the carbon-fiber door sills, signed by Lando Norris, the 2025 Drivers’ Champion, and his teammate Oscar Piastri. Each car also carries a unique plaque listing McLaren’s achievements from the championship season, including wins, pole positions, and fastest laps.

Mechanically, nothing has changed. This is the standard Artura Spider beneath the skin, powered by a hybrid drivetrain combining a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with an electric motor. Total output stands at 690 horsepower (700 PS). The sprint from 0 to 60 mph takes about 3.0 seconds.

In other words, this isn’t an experiment—it’s a rolling victory lap with license plates, offered in one of the rarest McLaren configurations ever built.
