Revived Ram 1500 TRX SRT Debuts in the U.S.

Changes at the top of Stellantis have already begun reshaping the future of the Ram lineup. According to company insiders, former CEO Carlos Tavares, who departed at the end of 2024, had personally pushed for the elimination of Hemi V8 engines, a move that led to the discontinuation of the Ram 1500 TRX in late 2023.

Following his departure, V8 powerplants gradually started returning to Stellantis products, and the SRT performance division was revived last year. It came as little surprise, then, when Ram brought back its flagship off-road truck at the beginning of this year, now wearing the Ram 1500 TRX SRT badge as it officially arrives in the U.S. market.

The high-performance pickup stands out with a redesigned grille featuring a red Ram logo and SRT badging. The hood incorporates a functional air intake, while TRX emblems are placed throughout the exterior. Steel bumpers with red tow hooks come standard, and buyers can add serious off-road gear such as a snorkel and skid plates.

The body has been widened by 6.8 inches, and dual exhaust outlets dominate the rear. The truck rides on 18-inch wheels wrapped in aggressive 35-inch all-terrain tires.

Inside, the Ram 1500 TRX SRT combines leather and suede upholstery with genuine carbon-fiber trim. Red seat belts and contrast stitching reinforce the performance theme. TRX logos are displayed on the dashboard and the power-adjustable front seats, which feature heating, ventilation, and massage functions.

The cabin also includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment screen, a 19-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system, a dual-pane sunroof, and adaptive cruise control with a full suite of driver-assistance technologies.

Under the hood, the revived TRX packs an updated supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 producing 788 horsepower and 679 lb-ft of torque. That's a significant jump over the previous truck's 712 hp and 650 lb-ft. It also surpasses its chief rival, the Ford F-150 Raptor R, whose supercharged 5.2-liter V8 delivers 730 horsepower and 640 lb-ft.

Power is sent through an eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system equipped with electronically locking front and rear differentials. Ram says the TRX SRT can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 118 mph.

The chassis has been engineered for serious off-road work. Forged aluminum control arms and Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive shocks come standard, while ground clearance rises to 11.8 inches. Approach, breakover, and departure angles measure 31 degrees, 16.8 degrees, and 25.2 degrees, respectively.

Pricing for the Ram 1500 TRX SRT starts at $99,995, undercutting the Ford F-150 Raptor R, which carries a starting price of $110,930. Buyers looking for an even more aggressive appearance can opt for the Bloodshot Night Edition package, priced at $9,995. The bundle adds an exclusive black-and-red exterior finish, beadlock-capable wheels, and additional carbon-fiber accents throughout the cabin.
