Suzuki Jimny Gets a Retro Makeover as Alpine Style Unveils New Beas Package With Round Headlights

Japanese company Alpine Style has expanded its lineup of Beas retro body kits for the Suzuki Jimny. Owners of the compact SUV can now choose a new version with classic dual round headlights, while individual body components are also available for those looking to customize their vehicles.

The Beas series was developed by Alpine Style's Cal's Motor division as a project to transform the modern Suzuki Jimny into an SUV with classic American-inspired styling. The kits draw inspiration from vehicles popular on the U.S. West Coast during the 1970s and 1980s and are available for the Jimny, Jimny Sierra, and Jimny Nomad.

Alpine Style recently announced an expansion of its Beas retro body kit lineup for the Suzuki Jimny. Sales of the new versions are scheduled to begin in Japan this July.

The biggest addition is a version featuring dual round headlights. Until now, buyers could choose between two-piece square headlights or quad square headlights. The new round-headlight design adds a third option with a more traditional appearance.

According to the company, the round headlights give the SUV a more distinctive neo-classic look while preserving the signature styling of the Beas series.

In addition to the redesigned front end, Alpine Style has begun offering individual body components separately. Customers can now purchase the complete front-end conversion, including the grille and front bumper, or order the taillight kit on its own. This allows owners to mix and match components to create a personalized look without purchasing the entire package.

The company notes, however, that some combinations of parts may cause the turn signals to flash rapidly. In those cases, a dedicated electronic control module will be required.

Another new option is a chrome-free version of the Jimny conversion. All components are supplied unpainted, allowing owners or custom shops to choose their own finish. Alpine Style cites matte black as one possible example, although all parts must be painted after installation.

The body kits are compatible with Suzuki Jimny, Jimny Sierra, and Jimny Nomad models from various model years. However, they cannot be installed on vehicles equipped with halogen headlights or those without factory headlight washers.

Alpine Style has not yet announced pricing for the complete kits, individual body components, or the chrome-free version, but says that information will be released soon.

Beas models can also be equipped with Alpine accessories, including a multimedia system with a display, a backup camera, built-in HDMI and USB ports, an ETC electronic toll collection system, and a wheel package featuring Moon Chrome alloy wheels.
