Gasoline Cars with Record Low Fuel Consumption: Review of 2025 Models

Due to rising fuel prices, more and more drivers are paying attention to cars with low fuel consumption, which allows significant savings on operating costs.

Several models have appeared on the car market that are distinguished by high fuel efficiency according to official WLTP data.

Which car is the most economical

The leader among economical cars is the compact hatchback Suzuki Swift, which consumes only 4.4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. This car is equipped with a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine with mild hybrid technology, allowing it to cover up to 840 kilometers on a single tank.

The second place in the ranking goes to the hatchback Lancia Ypsilon, which consumes 4.5 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. This car is equipped with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine and a mild hybrid system, which allows it to move on electric traction at low speeds, significantly reducing fuel consumption.

Opel Corsa also consumes 4.5 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. The model is equipped with a powertrain similar to the Lancia Ypsilon and an automatic dual-clutch transmission, providing the optimal engine operating mode.

Peugeot 208 shows a fuel consumption level of 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers. Its compact yet powerful engine provides an excellent balance of economy and dynamics.

Other models, such as the Citroën C4 and C4 X, Opel Astra, and Peugeot 308, also have low fuel consumption, 4.7 liters per 100 kilometers, and impress with a range exceeding 1000 kilometers on a single tank.

These cars are not only economical but also have comfortable interiors and modern technological solutions, making them popular among buyers.
