Chocolate brand KitKat has built a full-scale Formula 1 race car made entirely of chocolate, celebrating its new partnership with the Formula One this season.

The unusual creation was unveiled at the legendary Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom. The chocolate racer measures about 16.4 feet long and weighs roughly 770 pounds, matching the size and proportions of a real Formula 1 car.

Creating the edible machine took 1,254 hours of hand craftsmanship by a team of pastry specialists led by master chocolatier Jen Lindsey-Clark. Every section of the vehicle—from the nose and cockpit to the rear wing—was carefully sculpted from chocolate to replicate the intricate shape of a modern F1 car.

The chocolate race car was produced as a one-off promotional project and isn’t intended for sale. However, KitKat has released limited-edition miniature versions of the chocolate Formula 1 cars in select markets. Unlike the giant display model, the smaller replicas come filled with sweet chocolate filling.
